Baby well visit schedule and vaccines

A frequent question asked at my prenatal visits is how often do babies come in for well visits and when do they get vaccines. Below are a list of infant and toddler handouts from the American Academy of Pediatrics which also coincides with when they come in for check ups. And while I’m at it, I figured I would go ahead and link handouts for ALL the ages, but after 3, kids come in annually for routine exams.

Those well visits also pretty much all coincide with vaccines as well, except 9 months, and usually 2 to 3 year old visits are vaccine free as well unless behind on schedule or during flu season.  I do NOT condone delaying vaccines or using an alternative schedule bc that is not evidence based, prolongs how long a child is at risk for getting sick from the disease, and increases chance of error when given out of order.

Below is an illustrated guide on which vaccines babies and kids get a what age. See the link for the full CDC childhood vaccine schedule and descriptions of each of these diseases. Here is my brief synopsis of all the vaccines to kids and teens.
